RESULTS
Segment #1: "A 'Monster' of Bliss"
Although Braun Strowman claims that he isn't afraid of "The Fiend" Bray Wyatt, tonight's episode of "A Moment of Bliss" seems to be pointing in the other direction. After being invited on the show by Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross, and engaging in some banter that was very reminiscent of Strowman's time with Bliss as part of Team Little Big, "The Monster Among Men" noticed that their was a gift in the corner of the ring. Upon opening it, Strowman found a black sheep's mask inside, the same mask he wore as part of The Wyatt Family. This seemed to stun Braun; it would appear that the Universal Champion isn't ready for Bray's mind games.
Segment #2: Tamina becomes the number one contender for the SmackDown Women's Championship
The fragmented friendship between SmackDown Women's Champion Bayley and Sasha Banks just keeps getting rockier and rockier. It all started at WrestleMania 36, when Bayley didn't help Banks from getting eliminated from the Fatal 5-Way match. Then, the following SmackDown, Bayley threw "The Boss" into a match with Tamina, instead of outright facing her in a title match. And now that Tamina (with an assist from Lacey Evans) has become the number one contender, you have to expect that the champion has a lot more in store for her "friend."
Segment #3: Sheamus is still Full of Rage
For years now, Sheamus has been yelling "Are You Not Entertained" at whoever was watching him tear his opponents apart. Well, it would appear that Michael Cole is not. After a decisive victory against the upstart Denzel DeJournette, "The Celtic Warrior" was not happy that the play-by-play commentator began transitioning to a Jeff Hardy video before he had even made it back to the locker room. Sheamus verbally ripped into Cole at ringside. One can only imagine what could happen if Sheamus ever got his hands on the long-time WWE commentator.
Segment #4: Dana Brooke Qualifies for the Women's Money in the Bank Ladder Match
Dana Brooke has been looking to make a name for herself in WWE for years now. In a highly athletic match with Naomi, Brooke is well on her way to making that name. The two talented superstars had a nice back and forth, with the winner of the match going on to compete in the Women's Money in the Bank Ladder match. Naomi, being a former SmackDown Women's Champion in her own right, looked to have the match won, however it was Dana Brooke who rolled Naomi up for the win. Could Brooke become the next Miss Money in the Bank?
Segment #5: Sonya Deville "Tells All"
After tonight, the longtime partnership between Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville is certainly over. After begging Rose to see the light, and listen to her side of the story on why she tried to keep Rose and Otis apart, Deville then flipped the switch and turned to the dark side. Saying that she was sick of playing second fiddle to a centerfold model with no wrestling talent, Deville called Rose "the most selfish person" she had ever met. After Dolph Ziggler came out to restore the peace, a brawl ensued. Otis came out in defense of Mandy, and the two came out on top. It looks like this love triangle will never be a thing of the past.
Segment #6:
The women aren't the only ones looking to qualify for the Money in the Bank Ladder match. Two of the most technically gifted performers to ever lace up a pair of boots, Daniel Bryan and Cesaro, put on a clinic for a chance to enter the career-altering match. Daniel Bryan had to rely on technique as "The Swiss Cyborg" is the pound for pound strongest competitor in the WWE today. Using that strength to his advantage, Cesaro was able to muscle Bryan around the ring. However, being WWE's "ultimate underdog" Byran was able to wrangle Cesaro into the LeBell Lock and pick up the win.
Segment #7: The SmackDown Tag Team Championships are back around the waists of The New Day
The New Day's struggle to reclaim the SmackDown Tag Team Championships are over, as Big E was able to bring home the gold (silver) tonight. In a match that mainly involved The Miz dominating Jey Uso, Big E was able to pull together and hit the Big Ending for the victory. Seeing Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods' live reactions was amazing, and the celebration with their tag team partner will definitely continue for the time being.
