RESULTS

Segment #1: NXT Champion Adam Cole finally appears after strange disappearance of Finn Bálor.

After being invited to a match by Finn Bálor last week, The Velveteen Dream opened the show looking for a fight. However, as the commentators and the just-appearing Adam Cole let Dream know, "The Prince" is mysteriously not in the building. While crediting The Dream with taking Bálor out, the NXT Champion's cohorts, Roderick Strong and Bobby Fish blindsided Dream in a viscous assault. This prompted the NXT North American Champion Keith Lee stormed to the ring, taking The Undisputed Era out in the process. A match between the men involved was set up for the main event of the evening.

Segment #2: Dakota Kai and Raquel González take their frustrations out on Tegan Nox and Shotzi Blackheart

Dakota Kai and Raquel González continue to be thorns in the sides of Tegan Nox and Shotzi Blackheart. The enforcer González controlled the early-goings of this match, taking Nox off her feet on multiple occasions. Blackheart was able to make a comeback for her team, but the sly tactics of Dakota Kai put a stop to them. González put Blackheart down with a one-armed Powerbomb for the win.

Segment #3: Jake Atlas advances in the Interim NXT Cruiserweight Champion Tournament

Drake Maverick, having been recently released from his WWE contract, was planning on winning the Interim NXT Cruiserweight Champion Tournament as a way to keep his foot in the WWE door. Unfortunately for Maverick, he was across the ring from the up-start Jake Atlas, who is looking to make a name for himself and pave a road of diversity in the NXT roster. Maverick fought his heart out, but couldn't overcome the aggressive Atlas. While we aren't sure what the future holds for Drake Maverick, we do know that Altas will advance into the next round of the tournament.

Segment #4: Kushida advances in the Interim NXT Cruiserweight Champion Tournament

Jake Atlas wasn't the only one to advance in the Interim NXT Cruiserweight Champion Tournament though. In a blisteringly fast-paced matchup, Kushida was just able to get a leg up on the former Cruiserweight Champion Tony Nese. Nese's arrogance in his high-flying ability came back to bite him, as Kushida was able to reverse a catch him into various submission holds, eventually tapping him out for the victory.

Segment #5: Mia Yim defeats Jessi Kamea

The future keeps getting brighter and brighter for Mia Yim. Taking on relative newcomer Jessi Kamea, Yim taunted her opponent very vocally in the beginning of the contest. Kamea responsed with some stiff strikes, which angered Yim, who fought back and hit the Protect Ya Neck for the win. Afterwards, NXT Women's Champion Charlotte Flair said that she wishes to face Yim as her first opponent in NXT. A match between "The Blasian Baddie" and "The Queen" will surely be one for the ages.

Segment #6: El Hijo del Fantasma impresses in debut, advancing in Interim NXT Cruiserweight Champion Tournament in the process

For weeks now, we have eagerly been awaiting the arrival of El Hijo del Fantasma, and he did not disappoint. The famous luchador debuted competing in the Interim NXT Cruiserweight Champion Tournament across the ring from Jack Gallagher. "The Gentleman" was anything but gentle with Fantasma, using his grappling prowess to halt the aerialist's impressive high-flying skills. Fantasma was able to rebound though, ending the match with a Samoan Driver.

Segment #7: Dexter Lumis ascends to help The Velveteen Dream against The Undisputed Era

The odds were not in The Velveteen Dream's favor going into his tag team match alongside Keith Lee against the Undisputed Era. Firstly, a brawl ensued before the match could really get going. Then, Damien Priest appeared with his nightstick to take Lee out by repeated shots to the throat. The Dream found himself in a two-on-one handicap match against Adam Cole and Roderick Strong. Out of nowhere though, the eerie Dexter Lumis appeared in Dream's corner, tagging into the match to put a the hurt of The Undisputed Era. This assist allowed Dream to nail a perfect Purple Rainmaker for the pinfall on Cole. The NXT Championship is just within Dream's grasp now.
