Top 10 Finishing Moves
The Finishing Move (Finisher) is the most important move in a wrestler's arsenal. They lay out opponents to end, or "finish" the match. Some Finishers are absolute works of art, while others are downright brutal. Let's take a look at the 10 greatest Finishers in WWE history!
10. Frog Splash
Used by: Rob Van Dam, Eddie Guerrero
Flying into the sky, this move hurts the person doing it almost as much as the one taking it.
9. Liontamer
Used by: Chris Jericho
An underrated Finsher, the "Man of 1,001 Holds" can really tie someone into a pretzel with this submission move.
8. Piledriver
Used by: The Undertaker, Jerry "The King" Lawler, Kane
A classic way to drop an opponent right on their head. If Vince McMahon were watching, he'd probably scream "What a Maneuver!"
7. Sharpshooter/Scorpion Deathlock
Used by: Bret Hart, Natalya, Sting
This back-breaking submission truly shows why the Hart family is "The Best There Is, The Best There Was, and The Best There Ever Will Be."
6. Spear
Used by: Goldberg, Roman Reigns, Edge, Rhyno
A move typically used by former football players, there is no better way to drive through an opponent.
5. Figure-Four Leglock
Used by: Ric Flair
Unless you want your legs broken, don't get in the way of the "Limousine Ridin', Jet Flyin' Son of a Gun."
4. Cutter
Used by: Randy Orton, Diamond Dallas Page
No matter when it happens, this move is always "Outta Nowhere!"
3. Superkick
Used by: Shawn Michaels, Dolph Ziggler
Undeniably the greatest striking Finisher in history. Nothing better than a little bit of "Sweet Chin Music."
2. Crossface
Used by: Daniel Bryan, Sasha Banks, Chris Benoit
No submission move looks more gruesome. The perfect way to make an opponent tap out.
1. Powerbomb
Used by: Kevin Nash, Batista
Nothing feels worse than having the air ripped out of your lungs after free-falling into the ground. The taller the person doing the move, the better.
