Segment #1: Finn Bálor tears through Fabian Aichner in attempt to reach WALTER
Finn Bálor is looking to get his hands on the NXT United Kingdom Champion WALTER. However, it seems like the only way "The Prince" will be able to do that is by mowing down WALTER's Imperium running mates. This week Bálor took on Fabian Aichner, and despite Marcel Barthel's presence at ringside, Bálor was able to finish off Aichner with the Coup de Grace and 1916 DDT. WALTER needs to keep an eye on "The Demon King."
Segment #2: Xia Li defeated Aliyah
This victory must have been a cathartic experience for Xia Li. After being attacked by Aliyah last month (an attack which prevented Li from entering the NXT Women's Championship number one contender Ladder match), Li was able to get some revenge on her nemesis. After nailing Aliyah with a cyclone kick, Li was able to secure the victory, and once again begin her road towards the title.
Segment #3: Akira Tozawa is the first to advance in the Interim NXT Cruiserweight Champion Tournament
Akira Tozawa is looking to reclaim the NXT Cruiserweight Championship. Unfortunately for Isaiah "Swerve" Scott, Tozawa's road toward the title went through him, and Tozawa was more than happy to get this roadblock out of his way. Impressively, Tozawa was able to kick out of Scott's House Call, and then was able to pick up the win after nailing a brutal senton bomb from the top rope.
Segment #4: Raquel González finally gets some comeuppance at the hands of Tegan Nox
Dakota Kai's enforcer Raquel González has been a thorn in the side of many women on the NXT roster. Thankfully tonight, Tegan Nox was able to pick up a small victory for everyone who has suffered at the hands of González. While being dominated by González for majority of the contest, Nox was able to rally back with the help of Shotzi Blackheart, who stormed to the ring to keep Dakota Kai at bay. Unluckily for González, the record-books will state the she lost to Nox tonight.
Segment #5: Dexter Lumis continues to stalk his prey
Unfortunately for Tehuti Miles, he became a deer in the headlights of Dexter Lumis' never-ending stare. The terrifying Lumis picked Miles apart, tapping him out with the Anaconda Vise. Only time will tell what the future holds for Dexter Lumis.
Segment #6: The Velveteen Dream is looking for Adam Cole; gets Finn Bálor instead
For the past several weeks, NXT Champion Adam Cole has been avoiding confrontation with The Velveteen Dream, feigning charity by staying home because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Dream doesn't buy any of it though, and was lambasting Cole from the stage when Finn Bálor appeared. Dream called Cole "arguably the greatest NXT Champion of all time," which prompted Bálor to defend his time with the title. The Velveteen Dream has "a date with 'The Prince'" next Wednesday on NXT. It's going to be a good one.
Segment #7: The Undisputed Era are unsuccessful in trying to regain the NXT Tag Team Championships
With Pete Dunne being stuck in the U.K. because of COVID-19, things did not look good for Matt Riddle going into his NXT Tag Team Championship match against The Undisputed Era (Roderick Strong & Bobby Fish). Luckily Riddle's partner sent a friend along to help Riddle. Timothy Thatcher could well have been Riddle's long-time best friend for as well as the two got on together. Having similar styles, both men were able to brute force their way through The Undisputed Era. Surprisingly, it was Thatcher who ended up getting the win, tapping Strong out with the Fujiwara Armbar.
Segment #8: Tomasso Ciampa laid out by Mystery Attacker
Let it be said that Tomasso Ciampa is a man of his word. Despite the underhanded tactics that Johnny Gargano used to win his fight against "The Blackheart" last week, Ciampa came forward and congratulated "Johnny Wrestling" for his victory. However, it seems the struggles continue for Ciampa, as he was attacked by an unknown person while giving his regards to Gargano. Who is this mysterious attacker?
