RESULTS

Segment #1: The number one contender for the NXT Women's Championship is decided

With Charlotte Flair's victory over Rhea Ripley to capture the NXT Women's Championship at WrestleMania 36 over the weekend, the question on everyone's mind is "Who will be the first challenger?" On this episode of NXT, that question was answered. In a fast-paced and action-packed ladder match, Io Shirai oulasted  Candice LeRae, Mia Yim, Dakota Kai, Tegan Nox, and Chelsea Green to become the number one contender. Outstanding athleticism and weapons were utilized by all competitors, but it was the "Joshi Judas" who came out on top. We can't wait to see Shirai try and take the title from "The Queen."


 Segment #2: Indus Sher dominate Ever-Rise

Indus Sher (Rinku & Saurav) is on their way to become the most fearsome tag team in NXT history. Doing battle against Ever-Rise, Indus Sher showed that sometimes all you need is brute strength to win matches. Clobbering their opponents, they finished the match with a nice backbreaker/flying elbow combination. Who else will fall to this new dominant duo.


 Segment #3: Johnny Gargano and Tammaso Ciampa clean house yet again

It would appear that Johnny Gargano and Tammaso Ciampa are destined to "Fight Forever!" These two former best friends past battles have been aggressive, but they still had an air of grace about them. This fight was completely brutal, with neither man being concerned with proper wrestling etiquette; they were just interested in damaging each other.

"BlackHeart" and "Rebel Heart" fought around the arena, even making their way out to the parking lot. Gargano escelated the grudge match by imploring Ciampa to enter into a war of words, calling Ciampa a "failure" as a man and bringing up the name of Ciampa's daughter, Willow. This only angered Ciampa, who quickly tore into "Johnny Wrestling."

About to hit each other with fragments of Ciampa's infamous crutch, Gargano's wife Candice LeRae came out to break the fight up. In a wild twist, LeRae then turned around and hit her husband below the belt. This shocked Ciampa, and what shocked him even more is when LeRae laid him out with a low blow as well. Gargano got to his feet, revealing that he was wearing a protective cup, and walked off with his wife. Surely, this isn't the end of this nasty feud.

AJ Styles traded to SmackDown for ?????

AJ Styles is once again on the blue brand! Michael Cole made the announcement during Styles' Intercontinental Championship Tournament match against Shinsuke Nakamura on last week's episode of SmackDown , saying that AJ is back on SmackDown full-time, being traded for a future Raw pick. This was done for kayfabe reasons. Being a Raw superstar, it wouldn't make much sense to have AJ win the IC Title Tournament, because of course it is a SmackDown championship.
