Several WWE Stars Released


It seems that not even corporate mega-franchises like WWE are immune to the COVID-19 virus. As the company has been holding events, including WrestleMania 36, without crowds, the revenue from ticket sales has disappeared. This means that WWE would be looking for "short-term cost reductions and cash flow improvement." Unfortunately, that means that several stars and staffers have been furloughed or released entirely.  In an official statement, WWE announced the release of the following stars, among others:


In a corporate press release that followed the statement, WWE revealed their plans for the company going forward through the pandemic.
