WWE Bans all Non-Company Photographers from Ringside

On April 15, 2008, WWE banned all photographers that don't work directly for them from ringside. WWE claimed that having so many crew members at ringside distracted from the action going on in the ring, so on the surface this was a decision for the consumer. However, there was also a benefit to this from a behind-the-scenes standpoint. Since only WWE photographers are allowed ringside, all media outlets that want good quality pictures have to use photos from WWE themselves, therefore increasing views on their web page. Either way, this was certainly an important moment in WWE corporate history.
