The Money in the Bank Briefcase Changes Hands
On the May 7, 2007 episode of Monday Night Raw, the Money in the Bank Briefcase changed hands for the first, and only time in WWE history. The show, which was hosted from the Bryce Jordan Center in State College, Pennsylvania, featured Edge defeating Mr. Kennedy in just eight seconds to win the briefcase. This was done because Mr. Kennedy had a massive hematoma, and would be out of competition for about a month. Additionally, The Undertaker, who was World Heavyweight Champion at the time, had a torn bicep. A new champion had to be made, and fast. Edge cashed in the contract just the next night to become champion.
